The Path We Choose Featuring Marco Pasqua

Hey everyone, Umer here!

This week on The Path We Choose, I had the incredible opportunity to sit down and talk with Marco Pasqua, entrepreneur, disability advocate, speaker, and author.

I want to share some of the biggest takeaways I learned from our conversation so you can apply them to your own journey too.

1. Your challenges can become your training ground

Marco said something that stuck with me: “Being born with cerebral palsy was never going to define me.”

His entire upbringing was built on resilience. His parents refused to coddle him, and instead taught him that nothing worth having comes from handouts.

That mindset prepared him for entrepreneurship long before he ever started a business.

2. Rejection is data, not a dead end

Marco shared how early in his career he was told he had “too much energy” to fit into certain roles. Most people would tone themselves down.

He didn’t. Instead, he learned how to Creatively Utilize his Best Energy, which later became the foundation of the CUBE Principle.

3. Purpose isn’t found, it evolves

Marco said something that really hit me: “Purpose isn’t one thing. It’s the stamp you want to leave behind.” We talked about how purpose shifts as we grow.

What mattered five years ago might not matter anymore, and that’s okay. The key is to stay curious and keep moving.

4. Authentic connections matter more than large networks

Marco doesn’t believe in collecting people like Pokémon. He believes in quality over quantity, surrounding yourself with people who genuinely care and who help elevate you.

5. Legacy is built through character, not achievements

As a father, Marco shared how his daughter completely changed his definition of strength. “Being a father isn’t about physical strength. It’s about strength in character.”

It’s a reminder that the impact we leave behind often comes from who we are, not what we achieve.

There is so much more in this episode; manifestation, mindset, taking ownership of your life, and how to stay authentic in a world that constantly pressures you to fit in.
