The Path We Choose Featuring Hussein Farhat & Shahrez Hayder

EP 23: “I Made My First Million Before 21” | Hussein Farhat & Shahrez Hayder

Hey everyone, Umer here!

You can have all the knowledge in the world and still struggle to live it.

That was the tension at the heart of this conversation with Hussein Farhat and Shahrez Hayder. It’s not about access or information, but about presence, surrender, and aligning your actions with Allah’s guidance.

Here’s what I learned.

The Power of Early Effort Hussein shared how the gym was his first experience putting real effort into something and seeing results. Before 19, he felt like he was just going through the motions in life, school, and work. The discipline and commitment he learned in the gym became the foundation for everything else he achieved.

“The first time I put effort and got results, I realized life is actually doable.”

Manifesting Through Consciousness Shahrez explained that success begins in the mind. Being a millionaire started with believing he could become one before it happened in reality. Many people misunderstand success as luck, but in truth, it’s about awareness, persistence, and knowing that effort compounds over time.

“Failure was completely out of my consciousness. I only saw the path forward.”

Athletic Discipline Translates Both guests highlighted how being athletes shaped their mindset. In sports, you don’t dwell on missed shots or setbacks. You focus on the next opportunity. This resilience and ability to detach from failure carried over into business and content creation, allowing them to persevere through challenges.

“You just keep shooting. You don’t doubt the result, only the effort.”

Rizq and Free Will Shahrez discussed the balance between divine providence and human action. Rizq, or sustenance, is written, but the doors to access it are opened through free will, decisions, and disciplined action aligned with Allah. Recognizing this relationship creates clarity in choices and courage to take the next steps.

“Luck isn’t luck; it’s tapping into the doors Allah has presented and having the courage to walk through.”

Conquering Lust and Sacred Energy Both emphasized discipline over temptation. Protecting life force and focusing energy on purpose rather than fleeting desires is a key element in their personal and professional success. This discipline allows them to channel creativity, maintain focus, and sustain high performance.

“The more you control your energy, the more power you have to create and achieve.”

Identity and Authenticity Shahrez and Hussein stressed the importance of defining and holding strong personal identities. Whether in content creation, business, or personal conduct, aligning actions with identity removes the need for external validation and allows opportunities to naturally flow.

“Be yourself fully. When you’re authentic, everything else aligns around you.”

Applied Psychology in Business Hussein revealed how understanding human behavior, motivation, and patterns is critical for building successful businesses. Observing, testing, and replicating strategies with a personal twist allowed him to grow a team, generate consistent revenue, and create scalable systems.

“Study, experiment, and apply. Success comes from understanding people, not just working hard.”

Respond, Don’t React A central theme of the podcast was measured responses over impulsive reactions. Whether facing criticism, hate, or doubt, staying calm and responding appropriately preserves energy, strengthens confidence, and maintains integrity in public and private life.

“Focus on the positives. Hate online is pixels; it isn’t real life.”

If this resonated with you, the full episode goes deeper into Rizq, discipline, self-mastery, identity, and what it truly means to live a purposeful and aligned life with Allah.
